Korčula, the jewel of the Adriatic, is a small fortified town on the east coast of the island. The old town that was built on a small peninsula and fortified by unique medieval walls treasures numerous Gothic-Renaissance buildings, such as the Church of St. Mark, Town Hall, Revelin Tower and the house of Marco Polo. This magical town is the birthplace of the world traveler Marco Polo, whose house is today a major tourist attraction and visited by tourists from all over the world. Due to its exceptional beauty, Korčula is included in the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites and certainly deserves it nickname "Little Dubrovnik". And while the works of excellent Korčula stonemasons captivate with their preserved refinement, the streets of Korčula are brought to life by Moreška, one of the three chivalrous dances that can only be seen on this beautiful island.
The kind hosts of Korčula warmly welcome their guests into modern apartments, luxury villas and holiday homes. Don't miss Korčula’s gastronomic experience and enjoy fresh fish with homemade olive oil and alfresco dining on outdoor terraces, romantic squares and streets and be sure to taste premium Korčula wines. If you explore the interior of the island you will find many picturesque places, pass through olive groves and see plantations of oranges, figs and almonds. Nearby tourist attractions that are worth visiting are Dubrovnik and Hvar, which are connected by daily high-speed catamarans with Korčula.
