Biograd na Moru is a picturesque town on the Adriatic coast that is located between two major tourist centers, Šibenik and Zadar. Its magical riviera is lined with several extremely beautiful destinations such as Sv. Filip i Jakov, Sv. Petar and Turanj. Biograd na Moru itself was the medieval capital of Croatian kings and the site of the coronation of Croatian-Hungarian king Koloman in 1102. Numerous sacral buildings testify to the rich history of the town: the parish Church of St. Anastasia, the early Romanesque Church of St. Anthony and the Church of St. Roch, as well as the 800-year-old Benedictine monastery of St. Cosmas and Damian on the nearby island Pašman.
Many charming little islands are scattered along the Pašman Channel and protecting the riviera of Biograd from wind and waves, making the long pebble and sandy beaches of Biograd an ideal place for enjoying long summer days. A nice promenade leads to the beautiful sandy beach of Soline. No less attractive are also the beautiful beaches of Bošana and Dražica with numerous facilities, where everyone can find their own piece of paradise. The dense pine forest guarantees pleasant shade and many cafes and bars offer refreshment. Adrenaline fans will enjoy the variety of sport offers like sailing, diving, fishing, cycling or some fun in the amusement park Fun Park Biograd, which will of course be enjoyed most by its youngest visitors. Nature fans will find their place for recreation and relaxation at the magnificent river Krka in the Krka National Park, the idyllic landscape of the Plitvice Lakes or the wild beauty of the Paklenica National Park. Sea excursions to the nearby islands of Pašman, Dugi otok and the beautiful Telašćica Nature Park, as well as a cruise through the Kornati National Park are other highlights of the area one should not miss. The hinterland of Biograd will win you over with its small family-run farms in Polača, Stankovci, Muškovci and Benkovac, where you can taste homemade olive oils, wines, cheese and prosciutto. Biograd na Moru also offers its visitors numerous events and manifestations that complement the tourist postcard of the place: Gastro Biograd, Biograd Night, Biograd boat show, just to name a few. In the end, we can only invite you to find your ideal accommodation in one of the modern apartments, villas with swimming pools or holiday homes in Biograd and start discovering the extensive tourist offer of Biograd and its beautiful riviera.
