Tribunj, Šibenik riviera

Tribunj is a typical Dalmatian village whose old village center on the island is connected to the mainland by a small bridge. The historic center that features narrow streets and densely built houses was once surrounded by defensive walls against Ottoman attacks. The unique image of the narrow alleys that are densely lined with houses is perfectly complemented by a beautiful view of the two islands Lukovnjak and Logorun that guard the port of Tribunj. Tribunj’s kind hosts welcome guests into their family houses, apartments and villas, where they will happily offer local specialties, premium homemade olive oil, wine and fresh fish that they catch themselves. The lush Mediterranean vegetation and clear blue sea are the perfect invitation for lazing around in the shade of century-old pine trees on the beautiful beaches Zamalin or Bristak. Those seeking a peaceful, relaxing holiday surrounded by untouched nature will be thrilled by Tribunj. Fans of active holidays can enjoy the hinterland of Tribunj and the well-maintained country lanes and bike trails that lead through vineyards and olive groves to several beautiful lookouts on the hill Križine. Tribunj is also excellent for day-trips to the major tourist centers Šibenik, Primošten, Zadar, Trogir or Split. The peace of this small village is interrupted every year in August by the Traditional Donkey Race that is organized by the Association for the Protection of Donkeys from the island of Logorun, where the world's first donkey reserve is located. Visit Tribunj and do not miss this unique race.
