Ljubač, Zadar Riviera

At the end of the bay of Ljubač, opposite the island of Pag, lies the settlement Ljubač. The old town is located above a sea cliff. Ljubač is a typical Dalmatian coastal settlement with narrow cobbled streets and densely built houses. The remains of the walls indicate that the village was fortified in its past. The village itself has several valuable sacral monuments that testify to the rich history of Ljubač, such as the Church of St. Marcella, the Church of St. Martin, the Church of St. John and the remains of the Church of St. Magdalene from the 14th century. Many tourists have recognized Ljubač as the perfect place for a family vacation. Especially attractive are its sandy beaches, as they seem created for small children who can safely swim and play there. Namely, the water is shallow and almost always warm. The kind hosts of Ljubač offer their guests comfortable accommodation in holiday homes and apartments. Those looking for an active holiday can enjoy cycling, hiking and mountain trails in the nearby national parks Paklenica, Northern Velebit and Plitvice Lakes. Of course, do not miss a visit to the nearby island of Pag and try the island’s delicacies such as Pag lamb and the delicious local cheese.
