Učka Nature Park

Mount Učka majestically towers over the coast of the northern Adriatic Sea. A particularly interesting experience is the walk to peak Vojak, where a tower is located that has become the well-known landmark of the Učka Nature Park. Once at the top, you will certainly be rewarded for your hike up with a spectacular view that stretches from Rijeka over the blue sea and the Kvarner archipelago. One of the popular trails in the nature park is the Slap trail that will take you to the most beautiful waterfall, whose springs are located inside the canyon. Along the way, you will enjoy the lush chestnut forest. Another highly recommendable trail is the Vela draga trail, which goes through an interesting canyon.

Adventurers and fans of adrenaline sports will appreciate the park’s wide range of opportunities, for example they can try paragliding and hang-gliding there, which becomes more and more popular. Many hiking, mountaineering and cycling trails are a paradise for all recreationists and lovers of pristine nature. The old villages and hamlets on the slopes of mount Učka still nurture the traditional way of life, as one can see by the fertile slopes where vineyards are cultivated and fruits and vegetables are grown.
