Foreign currencies can be exchanged in exchange offices, post offices, some tourist agencies and hotels. Most hotels, restaurants and shops in the Republic of Croatia accept credit cards: American Express, Diners Club, Eurocard/Mastercard, Visa.

Water is potable in all households.
Post offices and telecommunications
The post offices are located in all larger places in Croatia. Postal stamps can be bought in all post offices or news shops and kiosks. Public phones can be used with phone cards that can be bought in post offices.
