Touch and listen to the nature’s endless beauty while climbing the highest peak of the island, the peak of Sveti Nikola (628m) whose steep cliffs look strait down to the sea. This route is best to be started from the village of Dol. The magnificent view there will make you feel like you are on top of the world. On the very top you will find a small charming church of St. Nicolas whose existence was first recorded in 1495. From there on, a steep road leads towards the village of Sveta Nedjelja. On this section of the route you will come across a magnificent cave inside of which you can find a Church of Our Lady of the Snows (Gospa od snijega) and the remains of onetime Augustinian Monastery. A divine combination of sun, sea, mountains and its hidden nooks is the perfect recipe for mind and body relaxation.
