Čiovo is joined to Trogir with a bridge. The large number of people from Split recognise the convenience of Čiovo, and many have holiday homes here. There are a large number of beautiful beaches among whom the most popular are Milićevo, Bok, Bušinci and Bijela beach at Okrug Gornji, the beach Slatine at the same named place, the Kava beach at Okrug Donji. For those who tend towards exploring, there are beautiful sandy and pebbled beaches on the islands Drvenik Veli and Mali, to which you can arrive by small boat or with the ferry line from Split which stops in Trogir. North of Trogir are a few smaller places which are mainly orientated towards tourism, and the biggest among them are Marina, Seget and Vinišće. Apart from beautiful beaches among which you can find sandy ones in the shade of pine trees, here is a modern, equipped marina for sailors.
The small fishing village of Slatine on the northeast coast of island Čiovo has become a real tourist oasis. Numerous bays, cliffs, calm shallow waters and white beaches, along with its crystal clear sea, delight visitors of this small settlement. The friendly hosts offer accommodation in comfortable apartments, villas with pools and holiday homes. Slatine is connected by ferry with the city of Split and by numerous bus lines with nearby Trogir. There are also many excursion boats for those interested in visiting the surrounding islands of Šolta, Brač, Hvar and Vis.
Near the historical UNESCO jewel of Trogir and just across the bridge on the island of Čiovo lies Okrug, which for years has been warmly welcoming its guests in numerous modern apartments, villas and holiday homes. The famous pebble beach Toć is the center of life of this small Dalmatian town. During the day, it is a popular beach destination, while at night it is full of young people looking for fun and entertainment. Those seeking peace will find their place in hidden coves such as Duboka and Široka, whereas lovers of a more active holiday can enjoy cycling, climbing to the top of the island and diving under the expert guidance of diving instructors from the local diving club. The gastronomic delights of Okrug’s table are best presented in the large variety of fresh fish, homemade olive oil and wine that invite you to an irresistible unique gastronomic pleasure. All you have to do is visit Okrug and discover why its guests faithfully return every summer.
