Vrsi

Vrsi is a charming tourist resort that is located on a small peninsula near the city of Zadar and the royal town of Nin. Due to its extremely beautiful coast, clean sea, good road connections and the proximity of major tourist centers, Vrsi is known today as a true small tourist oasis that is visited by guests from all over the world. The islands of Mišjak and Zečevo give the place a special charm. The islet of Zečevo is particularly interesting because it turns into a peninsula during low tide and into an island during high tide. On this island there is also the church of Our Lady of Zečevo, to which pilgrims come every year on May 5th and August 5th. Along the 34 km long coast are beautiful sandy, pebble and rocky beaches. In Vrsi-Zukve there are two beaches, one pebble and one sandy beach that gently declines into the sea. Next to the beach is the small early Christian Church of St. James from the 11th century. The beach Duboka draga is located near the center, the sandy beach Ričina is ideal for families with small children, while the urban beach Mulo has many amenities of which the outdoor gym will surely delight many sports enthusiasts. Peace and solitude and a surrounding of pristine nature are provided at the beaches Kukinica and Ljaljkovača. Popular tourist destinations such as Zadar, Šibenik, Biograd na Moru, as well as the most beautiful national parks in Croatia are easily accessible from Vrsi: NP Krka, NP Plitvice, NP Kornati, NP Paklenica, NP Northern Velebit, and nature parks Vrana Lake and Telašćica.
