Kudin most

In its fairytale beauty, the river Krupa hides the secret of the bridge of Kuda. The bridge was made of carved tufa in the dry stone technique at the turn of the 19th century. It is one of the oldest crossings over the river, and according to legend it was built by the young man Kuda who was deeply in love. The legend of love and perseverance says that one day Kuda saw a girl named Manda on the other side of the river and immediately fell in love with her. The girl could not cross the river by jumping from stone to stone like Kuda, so he decided to build a bridge for his beloved so that she could reach him. The educational trail from Golubić to Kuda's bridge offers magical views of the blue-green and turquoise color of the river Krupa and its tufa barrier called Deveterac. The barrier is named after nine tufa cascades that end in a high waterfall over which the Kuda bridge leads. This protected cultural monument is 109 meters long and has an average width of 1.5 m. It consists of 12 arches with two water flow paths. Today, Kuda bridge is a popular destination that leaves every visitor breathless. If you find yourself in the hinterland of Zadar, take the road from Obrovac to the village of Golubić where you will see the signpost for Kuda's bridge and discover this gem in the magical landscape of the river Krupa.
